Expressed as a movement, that has already begun in USA. Strategic defaults as this article "Are Strategic Defaults Immoral? " informs.

"Strategic mortgage default is in the real estate news these days. Since many homes have lost a lot of market value since they were purchased and the amount owed on the property is much more than the home would currently sell for, some people are deliberately letting the home go into foreclosure so the homeowner can get out of the debt."

Existing mortgages, exceeding current market values, that drive homeowners to stop paying the mortgages to the lending banks, leading to foreclosure of the property so the homeowner could get out of debt. And who chooses to act in such a way?

In article "An Example of Deliberate Default of a Mortgage"

"Why would a person with a good job who can afford to make his house payments just stop doing so and let the property fall into foreclosure? The answer is that in places like Phoenix, Arizona or Las Vegas, Nevada, where prices increased the most during the bubble, home values have in turn dropped by large amounts. The average in those areas is in the 50-60% range and is sometimes higher than that. So the home owner now owes substantially more on his mortgage than the property is worth."

Persons that have good jobs and can afford to make house payments but decides not to, and they have been doing it since 2009, as Wikipedia mentions.

And therefore the morality issue. Moral consequences split between the banks and prospective new mortgage borrowers who are expected to suffer from such acts of deliberate defaulting. But since, the state of the housing market is such, it is doubtful whether the banks will be able to pass the costs to new mortgage buyers, and the banks themselves would suffer the bulk of the blow out of the deliberate acts of defaulting.

Banks experiencing the other end of the stick, for the first time, and the issue of morality goes solely towards them. Would someone feel remorse about the blow they are about to suffer?

"Then again one might ask how bad do banks feel when they foreclose on a homeowner? The big Wall St. banks created dubious financial instruments with mortgages, and they approved loans for buyers who were not the least bit qualified. They did this to make quick paper profits and give themselves huge bonuses."

Morality? Such a flimsy excuse. What a laugh. Where did banks get their morals from? What kind of morals they abide to?

After going to such great lengths, as to declare that one's financial decisions should be "unclouded by unnecessary guilt or shame" and by 'one' meaning any entity, that entity being either a physical person or a financial corporation, the entities entering this domain of financial activities, the lenders, the banks "seek to maximise profits or minimise losses irrespective of morality or social responsibility" .. and somebody ..or better an entity that does not have to be considerate towards the members of a society that is a part of, acting irresponsibly, is not merely amoral, but immoral.

These are the morals, banks abide to, a concoction to justify their deeds, properly termed misdeeds. And the banks do not deserve anything but, the very same immoral stick, they have been waving for time immemorial, against people.

As economy, beyond the maximising profits and minimising losses it is most and foremost and unequivocally about the lives of people.

As the obligations to oneself and one's family weigh a lot more than the obligations to honour a contract, since without individuals capable to sustain family and self they would not be a society at all. Obligations to contracts are only possible, if and only if, obligations to oneself and one's family are met, but not the other way around.

The quick paper profits, vehemently sought out by banks, the strategic foreclosures, expressed as a movement, the quick paper profits backfiring. Banks foreclosing to their heart's delight, assumed that all their paper profits would be realised in tangible solid assets but alas they created a trap in which they have fallen into, like helpless mice, the current value of the houses foreclosed do not reflect the paper values out of which their paper profits were based upon. Do not materialise.

The banks take the loss and as their current and usual practice to roll the costs to new clients with higher prices, higher prices of what? Of foreclosed houses? .. how can they? to such a slow weak market .. how can they push house values up .. who would buy them?

They will have to bear the full losses themselves, probably starting by cutting the bonuses to their CEOs, or firing a few of them. With all the repercussions in the housing market implied, as themselves certainly, as all other Americans have homes, paying mortgages which now they could no longer afford and judging by their bonuses (oh, you are transgressing .. drooling ..) their houses would be enormous .. defaulting on their loans .. the burden will passed on .. on some other banks, if not their own .. the whole affair spiraling .. out of their control.

.. banks will go bust .. new bailouts ahead?

To get their cuts from increasing the burden to the individuals who have been unfortunate to fall into their traps. To extract monies that unscrupulous corporate bodies demand from individuals. Demands arbitrary, one-dimensional, singular.

To satisfy the arbitrary demands of corporate bodies from individuals, corporate bodies and 'justice', adhering to the law of 'communicating vessels', serve each other in perfect harmony.

Their task? Their goal? Money's hard-nosed processes at bay, bury all, they are only humans or at least as many as you can, after all, they are only 'human'. Live long the money.

And who is using them. Councils, factors all the remnants of the past. Are they there to ease the burden individuals being in debt feel? No, their purpose is to make it worse to claw even more money.

Society's vultures to pick out the morsels of meat, or digging deep into the marrow of the bone when it is obvious that not even a morsel of meat is left on the bare bones to pick out from. The other side of the Darwinian societies that thrive in the uk.

It is a smear on the face of humanity, allowing these vultures to do their job. They are humanity's baggage of the past that should be relentlessly eradicated.

But the saga has not finished yet. It is now the turn of the credit agencies to finish the job. Banks out in hordes to buy respect. Cheapening respect, one of humanity's most cherished value. Buying a false sense of security, heavy in advertising what they are not.

Banks attempt a comeback. The widspread notion among people about their criminal destruction of people's economy, their senseless use of the money they possess, their degrading abuse of power, is not a deterent at all. Bombarding people with adverts, to force upon them the idea, them being nothing short of benevolent institutions. Which, downright, they are not.

Advertising, their tool, and at large, in need to be eradicated, extricated out of the bounds of human activities.

Local councils, administration whose priorities of retaining revenues overcomes their absolute and most overwhelming priority, of the well-being of their citizens. Revenues to a great extent comprised, by their commitment to pay salaries and pensions of their employees. Their lot, their employees and pensioners, among the most well-paid within the communities, that would suffer the less, under the current crisis.

Dedicated, in their foremost task, not to loose an iota from their remunerations on the detriment of the services for all other people and especially from people that are hit more by the crisis. In their innate endeavour their persistence in the fines they impose, the mentality prevalent that society cannot tolerate deviations and the devinats from the rules imposed. Rules that prove, on the whole, that stand to a small stature to the society's demands. How cannot be otherwise, they only address a very small fraction out of the rich complexity, complexity undreamt of, in the minds of the legislators, that human interactions within the bounds of a given society can create.

The goals of the many, (although, that this is the essence of their stance, is highly debatable, nevertheless) can not overide the wants of the few. We are in it together and together will find solutions.

Councils, administration that demand from all the others to pay the bill, which their imprudent management have brought to bear. Their strict adherence, to the human-maligning notion of contract, destroys the fabric of the society. They should bear, deeply in mind, to make it a banner to sway, in every bit of administartive task they put themselves into, never to demand what one can not give.

China's vs Western World economic growth models. Both meaningless. Deserved contempt apportioned.

It is a disgrace to even contemplate such a debate when its fundamentals reek of sewage. Revered growth of China admired and envied by the so-called Western world, mere numbers that mean nothing and bear no significance for the individuals in the societies in either system, a debate infatuated by numbers blind to its real meaning for each and every one of them.
Annual growth for the gross national product which is supposed to be shared among their individuals in the systems, therefore the per capita figure out of it. UK per capita £22,000 in 2009 from the CIA factbook, that amounts for a family of four to £88,000. How many such families bring home that amount of income? How many families struggle with barely a tenth of what has been in book-keeping terms allocated to them what the growth so spuriously debate, is all about.

And for that matter, how many individuals make multiples of the per capita to take home and how many only afford fractions of the per capita to take home? What are the highly-paid salaries and what are the minimum wages? Do they abide to the levels assumed by gross national products, growth that you are so possessed by and so vehemently debate on. None but a gross mis-representation of the growth each individual benefits from. Growth that does not take into account the individual. What individuals ought to take home.

Small wonder the regimes in either system are so afraid of, scared (shitless) of their populations. Security and the threat imposed upon their power is not only China's concern, security business thrives in the western world, it is where it was invented and infected people too. And that inane notion of individualism that the West is blessed with, a smokescreen to hide underneath it the injustice widespread all over, self-serving to suceed in its own goals, the human individual has no need of. As the protests in China and the upheaval in western societies amidst the current crisis, the true-calling of individualism will run unabated.

It is a disgrace to human individual to talk about growth for either system as it is obvious that such growth is only affordable on the backs of their populations. As it is obvious and well-known that the current crisis for the western bears heavily on the less-privileged in all societies in the western world at the mercy of the debt-collectors, a growth in numbers in financial statistics that never materialises in growth in the lives of people.

It makes one wonder why all this wealth that is produced by people doesn't go into people to better their lives. Neither system is fit for the human individual and either system would collapse under the boot of the people.

"The overall title for the lecture series is "Money and Liquidity". But
let me say straight away that, of these two, we think liquidity is the key.
Money -- that is, non-interest-bearing fiat money -- is merely the
consequence of a liquidity shortage. As I shall explain later, money is not

That is an interesting thought. Money, not a logical necessity, may eventually disappear. And what of all these that drag along with money and mollify the individual. Power, fame, 'sex appeal' and what other else one can think of. Though the suggestion of being replaced by ultra-liquid, privately-issued securities that earn interest, makes one wonder what is in their mind, and how would that affect people's relationships, which, by the way, it might not be their concern at all but the doubts shed on the usefulness of money, it is, what is worth acknowledging the points made.

As for interest again, compounded I gather, loansharking at bay, these ultra-liquid securities, would be what? Issued by on-the-money individuals, tycoons and the like, bypassing banks and other corporate bodies and possibly evading state control. Capitalism of its worst kind. Foreseeing the domination of the world affairs by moneyed individuals, out to replace elected governments? Mad from power-hunger, Doctors No's and other fictitious characters, the now Bill Gates, Turners, Murdochs, Steve Jobs, out to conquer and dominate the world, to own and make revenue out, of countries, continents, the entire world may be not the limit, having to rely upon James Bond's fellas to save us from?

Monetary economics, exercised by states, public expenditure, budgets etc etc, to liquidity economics? How would that translate into people's lives? Foreseeing the end of states? Is that so umairh

I haven't read the rest of the pdf, as yet, but that raises intriguing thoughts on what's in the minds of economists. To whether that would lead from the very perpetrators themselves to the freedom of humankind from its slavery to money, or on enslaving further human kind to a harsher boot.

The unhinged dedicated ruthless uncompromising perpetrators, providing support with their theories to their masters, to whom they are in the payroll. It is up to humankind what the future holds for money, and if it doesn't do what is supposed to do, then why keep it.

When I first heard the concept “abolish money” I struggled with it. I loved the idea of not having to be focused on money for survival, but I couldn’t imagine what would replace it. Socialism? Communism? All things that we know will remove some freedoms. But when I began to think in terms of Abundance, I was able to shift.

Abolish Money??!! How can we possible afford not to.

When I first heard the concept “abolish money” I struggled with it. I loved the idea of not having to be focused on money for survival, but I couldn’t imagine what would replace it. Socialism? Communism? All things that we know will remove some freedoms. But when I began to think in terms of Abundance, I was able to shift.

All of those systems, capitalism, communism, and socialism are based on a sense of lack. A belief that there is not enough for all, a belief that someone has to “control” the resources.

When we let go of the idea we need to “control” the resources, we begin to recognize the abundance for all. Matter of fact we can see how capitalism is actually depleting our resources at a faster rate and without regard for the good of the whole. And if we don’t care for the good of the whole, we really haven’t taken care of any of us, for we are all connected to the whole.

There are times when we have to look at systems that we do because they seem to have “always” been there and ask...is this no longer serving me? This is a system that needs to be looked at closely.

We are currently trying to support a system that:

Supports and encourages competition instead of cooperation.
Dominates governmental decisions.
Encourages large scale environmental destruction...instead of only using what we need.
Encourages the creation of substandard “cheaper” goods to create return markets and to create larger profit margins.
Discourages maintenance and safety...again because of costs.
Drives a media focused on manipulation.
Drives products that thrive on addictions.
Uses fear as a motivator.
Creates polarity among people...perhaps even more than than sex, race and religion.
Is one of the leading reasons for crime in this world.
Uses up a tremedous amount of energy that could be directed toward actually making the world a better place to live.

When you consider credit, the government deficit, the stock market and financial institution games...its hard to see what is “real” about the system and the artificial nature of it begins to show through. Money has nothing to do with creating resources. All the resources, labor, ingenuity and technology exist. Money didn’t create these resources But we attached money to these resources and gave OUR power over to it. Money is almost like the fear of machines taking over...at one point is was developed to serve us and now we find out its in control. Or consider, those who have learned to master money are in control...not those who know how to master the resources. I’ll let you consider which skill is more important to our society.

OK...so money is a problem...but what else is there? The new concept is simple. Take money out of the equation is all. As I pointed out, money did not create the resources, technology or ingenuity...we just attached it to this things. So all we have to do is unattach it...let it go...just like we abolished slavery. We just said we aren’t going to have it anymore.

So I know this is stirring up your thinking, so let me move into some questions and answers to get the discussion going in your own mind.

How can we possible change the foundation of our society? What would take its place? Wouldn’t there be chaos?

I’m going to ask you to think about these questions. Not run and do statistical studies and calculations, just take a minute, get quiet, go into your heart and ask these questions. That is exactly where I went and received great comfort around my answers.

Would there be chaos or cooperation? My gut sense is there would be both, but in the long run cooperation would win out. And it certainly couldn’t get anymore chaotic then how things are now.

Wouldn’t we need to control the resources? Make sure everyone gets a fair share? How do we decide what is fair share, wouldn’t that need to be based on what they provide to society?
This is where I deviate from some of the other abolish money system plans. Again...this is coming from my gut feeling...we don’t have to “control” resources, we don’t have to judge what is fair or not fair, just cooperate and work together...we can work it out.

If you want to move into one of the big mansions and it is available, by all means go for it. If you want to build a big mansion and can get enough people together to help you build it...go for it. But this is what my gut sense tells me...if the big mansion is no longer a sign of wealth, matter of fact, ANYONE can have a big mansion...are you still motivated to build a big mansion to rattle around in and take care of? Yes, there will be a few and they are welcome to do that. This is about true freedom of choice, not controlled choice.

So it doesn’t matter if someone wants to create a mansion. Anyone can do it. Now think for yourself...how many people really would? Our truth of happiness would no longer be skewed by the pressure to present an image of wealth. Think for yourself, what would you do? I would be interested to know.

But how would things get done? Why would anyone work if they didn’t have to work?
It is in our nature to create, to think, to develop, and to do mundane chores. But now it would be with the desire and interest to do so, not the mandate. Imagine if everyone were set free to explore there truly personal interests, gifts and passions. Would things still get done? You bet! With an excitement and love unparalled by the motivation of any paycheck.

What about the things nobody wants to do?
If they are necessary tasks for the society, that in itself would be motivation for people to organize to see that they get it done as responsibility shared by all. As another writer on an abolish money plan stated...if shared, only a few hours would need to be done by many instead of a few having to do it all.

Why would people want to give up the power they have with their money?
My response to that is, who really wants artificially granted power? Is a CEO truly more powerful because he knows how to buy politicians and lie on his balance sheet? Is that more power? Consider if the shift goes from the “artificial” power of a few to the widescale empowerment of all. Imagine what type of place would that be to live in? Can you feel the rush of energy? joy? satisfaction and fulfillment?

What about those who don’t want to work? Don’t want to contribute?
We already have those folks don’t we? Consider how much cheaper and easier for us to care for them if we don’t have to focus on raising money and creating systems to do so. Again, an opportunity for true freedom of choice. We do have enough resources and technology for all. Matter of fact, people who don’t want to work save some resources and energy by not working. This also removes all judgement about what is work. Doesn’t being a philosopher or just spending time being social add to society? This also opens the doors for parents to spend time with and care for their children, for children to care for their elderly adults, for any number of expressions of life...not just what makes a “profit”.

What other benefits are there to abolishing the money system?
Spend a little time in your own fantasy around this. But here are a few I see:
You no longer have to live where your job is or where you can afford it...you can live where your friends and family are, thereby strengthening communities.
Without a profit incentive, I doubt that we would be bombarded with fast food, perhaps health and overall nutrition would improve.
Entertainment without commercials.
More truth.
Scientists working together to share ideas to create the very best, instead of in competition.
Manufacturing working together to create the best.
Things made to last.
Decreases in money driven crimes like prostitution, stealing, white collar crime etc.
More sharing...why does each individual need a lawn mower when one per neighborhood would do the trick?
More opportunity and time for education of a variety of subjects. No longer a need to focus into one expertise.
No tax forms to fill out.
All the energy of financial institutions would be moved back into society (did you know that 10 of the TOP 50 Public Companies are financial institutions. That is how much energy we are putting into supporting this system.)
The pursuit of life instead of money.

Let me just give an example of the difference this could make. Say you want to build a house. In the money free system, you find open land, go to the manufacturers and get materials (again, there would still be manufacturers, because there are people who enjoy making things), work with people to gather what you need - remember, we don’t need to clear cut a whole forest just so the lumber yard can make a profit by storing (hoarding) all this wood, you just have to get the materials you need for your house. Then gather a group of people who enjoy building houses. How do you find these people, you ask. Instead of a marketing/advertising system, there would be an information and resource system...but since its not profit based, instead of being manipulative...it would just be informative and truthful. (What a concept!) Ok...so you cooperate with others and create your house.

In todays system, lets talk about all the additional costs that need to be folded in to take care of people who need to make money....because we are in a money system.

Find a realtor to sell you the land. We won’t even go into people having “ownership over natural resources like oil, gas, land and water...(you can think for yourself the questionable logic of that.) Now in this process alone, we need to account for the realtor’s commission, the escrow fees, the financial institutions mortagage and interest payments, appraisal fees, inspection fees and taxes. I’m sure there is more, but that gives you an idea of how much has been tacked onto the process.

Then the materials to build. The manufactured equipment has had to go through a wholesale, distributor and retailer...all adding their percentage to the cost. Then you are also paying for the pensions and wonderfully high salaries of the upper management of these companies. Also as we mentioned before, the lumber company has been busily clear cutting because its more profitable for them to do things in bulk.

Then your construction crew needs money of course, cause they have bills to pay. They also need their insurance taken care of and in the cost of that insurance, you are paying for the insurance company’s salaries, expenses and the wonderfully high salaries they pay their executives. Then there are the contractor’s license fees, building permits, inspections again, labor union fees for electrical, plumbing etc.

I know I’m not even touching on everything, but this is the weight we’ve added to everything we do just to support a money system. And outside of this example, just think of retail, what used to be a simple formula of supply and demand is now a system of having to CREATE a demand in order for the system to grow. So we are constantly bombarded with things we don’t need being made to believe we need them.

Just to touch on this concept of having to create a demand here are just a few things to consider:
Two booming industries are the fast food industry and diet industry.
If the pharmaceutical industry is growing, it means there are more people getting sick rather than well. And the pharmaceutical industry has an incentive to grow.
Low quality products definitely create a demand for more.
We’ve seen the “synergy” created between analysts, accountants and corporate execs. The belief/fear created was you better make a big nest egg to survive your retirement, the way to do that is go into the stock market and HOLD ON for the long term - the analysts supported those fears and beliefs...meantime the executives have cashed out and well we know the end to that story.
The credit card system is actively helping everyone get everything the want, they are giving these low rates and encourage everyone to buy (artificial demand) after the debt is built up beyond paying back quickly, guess what is going to happen? You betcha, the interest rates will jump up again, and guess who’s stuck?

I could go on for days...but this should be enough to get you thinking. Can we afford to continue this system? I think not.

Its creator Muhammand Yunus, recipient of the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize, unaware of what he has unleashed upon this earth, the weapon to feed the unquenched voracious appetite of the making more-and-more money accolytes that would drive deeper and deeper into despair individuals around the globe till they can not take any more, they could not stretch their boundaries any further and will bounce back with such a force, a tsunami that would lead to their demise.

The new heights of entreprneurship WONGA in Britain. It charges a typical 2689% APR, and though they are explaining, the reason for charging such an exorbitant APR, reveal the inner workings of societies engrossed in the path that leads to devoted on-the-know practioners, shrewd entrepreneurs in ammassing unreal fortunes.

They are taking compounding of interest to its extremes, every service offered in annualised rate of charge, compounded by the hour or even at increments smaller than an hour, there are barely any limits, to yield astronomical returns when annualised! All for the sake of a constant pursuit of making more and more money.

As the loan period gets shorter, the more times you have to multiply and compound interest to make it into a theoretical annual figure what reveals the underlying scam, what is responsible for the plight of countries worldwide, the crisis they are in, what makes the world a haven for lawnsharks, whether these are small-time WONGA lawn sharks or big-time sovereign lenders, compounding interest.

That is what is quoted in wikipedia, regarding the history of compound interest.

"Compound interest was once regarded as the worst kind of usury, and was severely condemned by Roman law, as well as the common laws of many other countries. [2]

The Qur'an explicitly mentions compound interest as a great sin. Usury (oppressive interest), known in Arabic as "riba", is considered wrong:
“ O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubling and quadrupling (the sum lent). Observe your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful. ”

In one passage, the Bible addresses the charging of interest in the following manner:

Businesses embracing creativity?

I read the post "Innovate or Die: Why creativity is economic priority number one"

let my chaotic mind create ... What is create? Is it, all there is to be of creativity, the creativity that is worth for individuals, only in the field of big-dollar economy? That it worths more than any other manifestation that creativity can assume.

Certainly not. Mark Mcguiness, the author of the article, I am reading now, points out one more aspect of creativity. As he mentions that

"Did all those hard-nosed business people suddenly decide there was more to life than capitalism and give up chasing dollars so they could express their artistic soul?"

... another aspect of creativity, the 'artistic soul'. Which by the way, it doesn't look that the author thinks, that 'hard-nosed business people' appreciate creativity that much, as they will not give up the chase of the dollars for the sake of creativity.

The chase of the dollars, and in its altar creativity is sacrificed, a crime perpetrated, the abuse of creativity. A drive towards taking advantage of creativity and with that the creators, to squeeze every dollar possible out of innovations, and once it is done, creativity and creators become a burden, a refuse material which can be discarded at will.

Creativity, its very use, lasts, as far as dollars are made. Tainted creativity, more likely, deeply seated in the monstrosity they call economy? Economy is about people, lives of individuals and not the dollars, that hard-nosed business people, will make.

What kind of creativity is that, which is forced, single-minded, streamlined to the all-consuming priority, to make more dollars for the hard-nosed business-people. What kind of products and services would such creativity sustains?

The priority being not how would better people, how would people enjoy the products and services the hard-nosed business people offer, but how many dollars the hard-nosed business people will make out of it.

Creativity thus employed where its goal is to make big business people more dollars, will fail as it will constantly ignore and go against the aspect of products and services, people are interested in as such a perspective is not included by the providers.

The so-called creativity to be used to dupe and manipulate people, to disguise the products and services on offer, all in the name of the gain of even more dollars. A respite, that forces people to spit out and reject the products and services thus provided.

I should paraphrase the example of the new land of creative opportunity being the tip of the very large economic iceberg. The economic iceberg which its bulk made out of people and their lives that the big-dollar economy at the tip takes advantage of, using creativity as the means to ammass enormous profits, forgetfull of the fact of what makes, what sustains the tip, is the people that without them there would be no iceberg at all.

..and economists that do not dare to go beyond what the "bankers, bonuses, and bailouts" want, careful not to bite the hand that feeds them, and it is not because the economists say so, it is because the people had enough and the economists merely interpret the will of people, and they interpret it from the viewpoint of the "bankers, bonuses, and bailouts".

As they would never bite the hands that feeds them, only giving away the little bit, only enough to calm things down, sustaining economies of thin value.

And such a process is going on and on, every time and everywhere, what makes me wonder. Are they so thick that they would never learn? Or the 'thickness' factor is transfered from the value prerogative to their mental faculties. Incapable of learning. The state, its executives, hard on their heels into producing thinner and thinner value.

The state that is supposed to be, that it is there for the people. Governments that are voted in office, by people.

The Foxnews story under the title "Official: Banks Seeking to Return Bailout Funds Must Meet Guidelines" announce that

Absurd but a fact. Bailout funds unwanted, not needed. Why?

What is in their minds. What they want to protect. Their executive compensations.

Bank Executives out there ready to fight, tooth and nail for their rights. The fat compensation checks, the pure essence of them being there at all.

I am pretty sure, in their minds they think, that they are doing a service to the public. For them being there, for them running the banks, for them receiving fat checks, that it is owed to them and should be recognised by anyone, by everyone. By the public, the governments, the states. Weird, and wonderful, as a friend of mine, says. No, not at all wonderful.

Most certainly, they have recovered quick, the credit crunch of a few months away. Already a long lost, forgotten memory. I do not know what are the reasons of this recovery. Short memory, the pinch from the constantly underlying greed, an eagerness to get back to "normal". Anything goes.

Should they be allowed to?

The government

Demonstrate? That they can do the job? What they are entrusted to do, what they are supposed to be there for? Government doubts what of the banks? Doubts their sanity, their integrity? Whether they do the right thing, checks upon them?

How low have they stooped, in order to protect, their executives compensations, they are willing to forfeit their bank's position. Who cares whether the banks can or can not handle their debts. What matters for them, are the fat compensations, they receive. The sense of security gone out of the window. Who cares? Do the banks and their executives care? ... certainly not.

Do banks need their services ... certainly not ... or ... in a more appropriate manner. Hell not

I read in the article 'Entrepreneurs Are Made, Not Born! Facing 4 Fallacies',

..the faster you want to make money the more you have to pay upfront .... Which it points to money goes to money. You need to have money to make money, something that banks follow faithfully, promptly rejecting any individual that comes along to ask for a loan without having money in his/her pockets.

Where do you get the money, therefore being wealthy, to borrow money?

So, wealthy people grew up in wealthy families, they have access to more opportunities, whereas those who grew up in poverty tend to remain in poverty, as they have less access to money to invest, to educate themselves. And this is not down to their abilities or how hard-working they are, as these attributes are bestowed upon individuals, regardless of their background.

Systems that societies follow currently, favour the individuals who have access to money, perpetrates inequality and perpetuates the rich and poor divide through time immemorial, which reluctantly or not but nevertheless acceptable by the majority of the people.

In the continuous debate on that matter, over the years the steadfast will of the human individual continuously erodes the strength of the rich and powerful, and from overseers and overlords proper, with life and limb rights over all other individuals they have now assumed new more subtle identities. Millionaires, tycoons, oil barons, successful entrepreneurs, bankers and their place amongst us continues so, as the structures of inequality in societies remain intact.

Subtle but more devious as they have to disguise themselves, fully aware that their position and their profits are highly precarious. Their influence is propagated via the medium of money. Constantly dangling the carrot of money over us, without realizing that the economic structures that so callously take advantage of, erode the fabric of the societies that they themselves are part of.

However, the matter is not for the rich to become poor or the poor to become rich, but for each individual to be left to develop the full range of his/her character and personality unhindered by the factor of money. To take away, to eliminate the factor of money.

Are we that far from the time that governments would cease to exist? Because they would have no need to exist. Would everybody agree that's where humanity is heading to? To a benevolent anarchy? How do societies and individuals prepare for that? By exterminating the rich? By turning the poor into a mob, hence mob rule, or with majority rules and laws?

Or by each one of us, amending our thoughts and ideas into commonly accepted goals, the ensure the right of each individual to hold his/her fate in life into his/her very own hands?

Politicians in government to take affront in the view of people loosing their homes, wandering destitute in car parks and other public areas or people searching for food in supermarket and restaurant bins. At what threshold of the instability the bifurcations are triggered. To what avail? Their purpose, to design efficient and reliable industrial processes.

Certainly the fed, despite having as its goal to bring about stability in the economy, appears as it is lost. They don't know what they are doing. The sought after stability in the economy they so eagerly want can not be seen, not even a glimpse. Why?

First, the systems referring to fluid mechanics are isolated, carefully planned and even so the ensuing complexity is enormous. Whereas the systems economy are not isolated, they are open. It doesn't look from above but next to, the systems at fault, therefore any solutions offered hardly touch the cause of the crises. it lets the crisis spread amidst it.

As a result the predictions upon the effect Fed's moves will have for the state of America

Is that not the reason that economies failed and will continue to fail? Does it not lead to the notions, annihilate the competition, destroy them, devour them, take over this and that company, all out to engulf all other competing companies and in the race, they forget everything. That they do not have the capital, the supposed shareholders, to back a takeover, an acquisition, is not an obstacle. They became callous. They borrowed, more than what their companies worth.

I would not be surprised if I hear that banks ended up been tightly squeezed between what they owe and what they are owed. Credit and debt. Tying up any real assets they have as collateral for borrowing money, other banks doing the same, in their incessant pursuit of annihilating the competition, ended up with no more assets being available to secure a loan. The whole system locked drying up credit.

Their rules rigid and strict, mechanistic, reminding Godel, do not allow them to find a solution within the narrow boundaries of their companies. They need a solution from a solution from outside. They seek out their Godel in governments and states. Bailouts and stimuli.

At the same time the lives of all individuals in the world over, are messed-up and destroyed. They are put down as collateral damage. The matter is solved.

Their insatiable hunger to devour the competitors leading to bloated burgeoning organisations that despite their epiphenomenal air of assurance the exercise of their authority brings, they are stupid, as via their rules and regulations, they take less and less in of the plethora of information that is around them, exacerbated by the filter of money, steadfastly adhered, which only allows out of that rich bed of information that comes out of the lives of individuals, only what is relevant to the accumulation of more and more money, more profits.

The individuals in them, mere cogs of a fundamentally flawed machine that sees all other individuals around them from that very limited, restrictive prospective imposed by the company. Sees individuals as clients, prospective buyers or sellers, as units to make a profit out of and dismisses all else, that we, all are. Which bring about the underlying stark realisation, that by doing so dismissing themselves too, their very own human nature.

Their lives are taken away, left only with the tatters that organisations allows them to have? Isolated, detached and disinterested, complete apathy, they are there to do the job, and go home to immerse themselves into their comfort zones.

What is fundamental is not left up to chance. In this case it will come out from what you mention here

The credit crunch creates anger. Anger that individuals feel within, and it builds up and at certain times, by virtue of being ever ready to explode, instantiates its force in ways that depends on the person's ways of expressing built-up anger.

He was a quiet person, a manager in some company, lost his job, became depressed, taking anti-depressants, isolated himself within the walls of his apartment, his comfort zone. He fell off the window in his block of flats, his body laid out for hours, before it was taken away, said the person I had this conversation with. Messed-up lives of individuals a result of the gambling games banks, entrepreneurs played in the pursuit of bigger and bigger profits on the back of our societies, a ghost of a growth that offers nothing for individuals in societies. A victim of the credit crunch.

What happened certainly would not be deemed worthy for public media to include in their broadcasts, exacerbated by the prerogative of for accuracy, cast as mere hearsay part of noise our bustling world creates every moment, but it makes no difference where it is coming from. But that is not the case. Governments and states are precarious holders of power, as they are allowed to do so, and they are allowed to do so by the large body of individuals in societies, the real holders of power.

All governments and states they will run into gallops and opinion polls, at any moment, to assess what that large body of us thinks of any acts, political or whatever, they have in mind to follow.

But do we pass the right message to them? In the current states societies are, deeply divided in so many little groups, and so easily conquered? Driven by the incessant pursuit of the handful of money, that represent the crumbs they throw at our tables, if any one compares what the wealthy are putting into their coffers to what the rest of the individuals in societies get.

Even the whole concept of wealthy and poor is unreal, a construct devised to separate, to divide individuals in societies, messing-up the minds of individuals branding them as poor to their subsequent submission by the power-hungry members in societies.

Slumdog millionaire it says, hailed by them media, showered with oscars, its sole purpose being, to rekindle within the minds of individuals the thirst to become millionaires. Any one can become a millionaire, the film proclaims, even a slum dog from Delhi, feeding us with dreams, fallacies. Disgusted, useless, wretched values and while humanity deep in dreaming, the millionaire-dream-fallacy, they will have the chance to make more money out of them. More profits.

Vile are the politicians who utter these words: to assist the poor, the weak in our societies, because any one knows, that this is anything but. That instead they will devise the laws, or whatever comes into their minds, to suck up even more of their blood, for the benefit the wealthy.

Services and goods cost more, in corner shops, in power cards, in loans with loan sharks proper with 189.2% typical APRs hideous, vile operators with only sense left is amassing profits with no affront at all advertising it in their websites. The most disgusting aspect is that they feel at ease, societies not only tolerate but favours and nurtures them, the double talk of politicians and the monetizing rules that societies are plagued by.

The time is not far, that not just to expose how filthy they are, they are already exposed in the minds of people, but that would not even dare not simply say, but even to think or even dream of that profits are above and beyond the individual.

I felt they should be called “corrupt assets”… Wikipedia defines “corruption” as…

I find the approach correct and certainly the term 'corrupt assets' should be used instead of 'toxic assets', just an attempt to lull public opinion to accept the measures proposed, something along the lines, of what is meant by the phrase, .... to make the pill easier to swallow.

I will take it further that this crisis is not a hiccup of the system world economy but a much more fundamental issue, something intrinsic and inherent in global economies currently in force. Something equivalent to genetic.

They can not be anything else but corrupt or toxic, as their sole reason of their existence is the accumulation of assets, for individuals that already possess enormous assets. Beyond what real economies of real individuals require. The wealth out of the services and products, the world over, siphoned through the banks and all other economic institutions, its bulk filtered, into the pockets of this handful of individuals.

Money goes to money. In a few words corruption or even toxicity is and it will continue to be the end result of such economies. Stimulus or anything of the sort, a pure waste.

... so toxic assets are illiquid? Can not be liquidated into hard cash? Can not be re-possessed? Regular payments are made but this is not what they want. They want to have the money the property worths right now, not later. But where did all the cash they had, went? It was swallowed by the entrepreneurs? They left no cash at all? Or even, being invested further into god knows what other instruments to make more money? To talk about greed is a commonality that offers nothing. But what can be said about, is the insipid feature of capitalism, its intrinsic tendency to grow big and devour all other competitors, says a lot. There is an insatiable hunger in accumulating more and more that adds nothing at all for the individuals in societies. Burgeoning corporations full of hot air, they were bound to deflate sooner or later.

And now what? Do they demand another round. They want to be rescued? What for? They are bound to follow exactly similar paths, their insatiable hunger for more and more profits, is genetic. Their Darwinian trait, their intelligible mark that guides their evolution. They can not get away from it.

Banks and similar corporations bear no trust, deserve nothing. Let them default.

It distracts, sways, hides in the minds of the people, where credit goes for his rise in the presidential seat. The American people who voted him to power.

The 'change' shout, that has been used during Barack Obama's election campaign, primarily reflects upon the changes that took place within each American individual, the paradigm shifts in societies, the masses of people that it takes to shift, in order for the behaviour to “tip” in a new direction. Barack Obama, being president nowadays, is that change in behaviour “tipped” to a new direction.

A mass of processes directly attributed to chaos's tenet of minute changes and sensitive dependence on initial conditions that brought about the avalanche that ushered Barack Obama to power. All the 'little' changes that have brought about the change in America, that the world bears witness.

But that is the beginning.

Barack Obama has to do battle with a well spread, deep rooted network of vested interests. The task is enormous the opponent formidable, ruthless, cunning, resourceful and more than anything extremely devious, to the utmost the concept can ever take.

They have a strong grip on mass media, a faithful servant to provide them with ample support, to dissuade and persuade people towards to and for the benefit of their own selfish, ulterior motives. The idolization of Barack Obama, their primary task that mass media are expected to pull, to bring down Barack Obama, the changes he represents, the change in America. One of their main weapons in their arsenal.

Barack Obama will definitely rely heavily on what fueled its rise to prominence. The people in America, along with the people worldwide. Whether he will survive such a task or not and prove himself worthy to the situations arising, the momentum built within the American people should not be lost.

As certainly his and the people's opponents will use underhanded methods to discredit Barack Obama, something that might have already started as they hide extremely well their underlying intentions. Quite a lot of people, even unaware play in their game. Or they are helpless to do otherwise as their livelihood depend on it, as they are tied up to their jobs providing, most of the times unwillingly, support to practices which most of the times turns out, to be against them

Barack Obama has to prove that has the strength to cut the ties of unscrupulous interests that plagued, held hostages, almost all the previous occupants of the presidential seat, republican or democrat alike, up to now. One of them, is the military, with its many facets, that for its growth and sustainance, wars are regularly invented throughout the globe, what most certainly fuels the hate among people throughout the world on everything that is taken to represent America. Wrongly directed towards the American people instead of the culprits who hide cowardly behind them, hideously perpetrating illusions that amount to nightmares.

He has the backing of the majority of the american people and he should not fret, he should stand tall.

Further, Barack Obama should never forget that what really matters in his stint in the presidency is not the economy, foreign affairs, or other offshoot of his office but the people in America and there his task is double. First he should consolidate the changes effected in the minds of the people, whatever has been gained so far and second to take them a notch further. To increase that euphoric feeling that embraces all Americans now.

I read in the article 'World stocks down amid fears of deep recession', in yahoo.news

"World stocks fell sharply Thursday as fears of a deep global recession gripped markets and sent oil prices below $50 a barrel to levels not seen in more than three years."

How on earth could someone interpret that quote? A deep global recession gripped the markets. Markets in turmoil. Oil prices below $50 a barrel.

Right away, certainly by isolating these phrases, the meaning they carry, from the whole that represents global recession, recession experienced in many different ways the world over, who benefits from such a development? Oil prices below $50 a barrel, millions of motorists, to say the least, will take a breather from the recent onslaught of high prices in forecourts. I quote

"Oil prices have fallen 66 percent since reaching a record $147.27 a barrel in mid-July."

High prices thanks to what, in mid-July? Thanks to who? The much dreaded fall in oil reserves? Finite resources which are constantly depleted and can not be replaced, renewed?

None of the sort. Speculation has driven oil prices to soar. And oil-producing countries, a long-drawn euphemism here, which hides greedy individuals, out for the chance of a quick profit, despite the desperate pleading of governments and states to cut oil-production, they either sustained or increased output. And now that the crude oil prices are low, as this video announces, OPEC cuts oil output.

Despite any meaning given for the words 'speculators' and 'investors', in any dictionary, the meaning that makes sense, the meaning that is worthy, is the meaning carried in the minds of people, and that meaning yells that there is no difference between speculators and investors. It is a mask that you wear, which you easily replace with one another.

Lamenting about the 'poor' world stock markets, the wretches that call themselves human individuals, the speculators cum investors or vice versa, that their debased, spiteful, sordid perspective adapted, short of the standards befitting humans, fades away, to the remotest corners of their minds, virtually into oblivion, the wants and needs of human individual, humanity itself.

Cloud the minds of people, forcing their perspective upon them.

I would take further the conclusion reached by the author of the post 'Speculators are not "Investors"'

"Let the speculative "instruments" die so that our society can rediscover an economics founded on fundamentals that benefit real people."

The words written by a commenter, in the Telegraph.co.uk 'Investors shun Greek debt as shipping crisis deepens', article who I mentioned before in 'Current credit crunch: just a bear-bull game for stock markets to play or a point of no-return in the path for re-organizing societies' post, entered my mind.

"... a destructive world economy system based on raping the planet to produce rubbishy goods most can do without is winding down. A system which requires year on year increase in rubbishy consumption and destroys families ..."

He was talking about rubbishy products.

Another commenter in the same article points out

"... de-industrialised nations that no longer produce anything but forms and pop music can start producing a real form of wealth again."

The mention of the word wealth, brought a tinge of bad taste, by virtue of their unpleasant associations. Associations that become evident when you visit websites of this sort, as this one prominently displayed on the top of Ask.com search pages, as a sponsored link. Wealth, money, three or four cars? Is that the kind of wealth implied in the comment?

Wealth teeming with notions, as we have been customarily subjected to, of products being wasted as they can not be exchanged with money. From the back-alley refuse bins of supermarkets to the EU butter mountains and milk lakes, products which have not realised their goal of benefiting, with their use, the individuals they were targeted for. Wasting, simultaneously, destroying the efforts of all the people involved in their production, diminishing the value of their work and of themselves. Products which are destroyed before the end of their useful life, because they are overproduced, or fall victims of the new for old insurance policies, the insurance industry heavily promotes, therefore raw materials, and other resources, are wasted. Products have no value at all, if they are not attached with money?

It struck me that, this should not have been the kind of wealth the commenter was referring to, as there is something wrong with the word wealth, the meaning attached to it.

That is not the meaning of wealth. Wealth should not be associated with money. How some wise guy entrepreneur will make money out of. Practices that constantly interfere, and in the end, rob, subtract, instead of, add value, for the products and services offered to the public. Products have no value at all, if they are not attached with money?

These are not the products people crave for, benefit by and enjoy with. Real wealth has no need of money, no price tags attached. As it is commonly said out of popular wisdom. Money can't buy happiness, in whatever way this is construed, in the minds of every single individual.

Governments and states in their fervour to show hallmarks of a thriving economy, presumably to their public, in reality just to rub it in the face of their opposition, they are easy prey to the guile of unscrupulous entrepreneurs. Out to create jobs, out of the thin air without any consideration whether the jobs created would be of any value for the public at large.

As this blogger in one of his posts have asserted and stated

"[m] of course, I should point out, that personally I would not give, even 50 euros to someone, to do most of the jobs of the 700 euros, because the only thing these jobs produce is hot air."

In the New York Post website, in the article 'THE SHAM-FUL JOBS REPORT NEEDS OBAMA'S ATTENTION', is stated

"... even in a horrible job market and during a credit crunch as we have today, Washington believes courageous entrepreneurs are forming businesses and hiring people."

Courageous entrepreneurs forming businesses and hiring people! What a hogwash. As if any entrepreneur, is out there for other people's sake and not for his very own. That he cares about other people before his own overriding objective: make money. That with the loot stashed from 'fat cows' periods, is out to buy cheap, shattered, broken pieces, the credit crunch is leaving behind, calculating that they will worth more, when it is over.

Create new jobs? Are you kidding? We are here to make money.

No one should expect, notwithstanding people with clout, world leaders and the like to rely on entrepreneurs for any jobs to be created. Any jobs created should solely be based, by having in mind the good of the public, whether it offers a real service that people can benefit and enjoy. And not the monkey jobs, that produce nothing except thin air, rubbishy products and account for fake growth. Should not attempt to resuscitate, revive and proliferate a rotten cycle of growth.

Courageous? Anything but. First it doesn't or barely applies for them, as it is out of context and even in their own game, for whatever standards, if there are any, they abide to, within the context of making money, they will go for the easiest pickings. Corpses that offer no resistance, minimal risks involved. And unfortunately there will be plenty around, your entrepreneurs will thrive.

It is paramount to save from their clutches, jobs, industry sectors, activities that produce real products, and represent real growth and which are faced with the danger of being subjected through their ruthless criteria, which boils down to how much money will I make out of. And in the process leave behind nothing worthwhile, for the people to enjoy.

Get governments and states away from that mob, and get closer to the people.

This article 'Investors shun Greek debt as shipping crisis deepens' in Telegraph.co.uk announces the spread of the credit crisis in the shipping industry stating that

"The daily rental rates for Capesize big ships have dropped $234,000 to $7,340 in weeks, leaving operators stuck with heavy losses on long leases. Empty ships are now crowding Singapore and other global ports."

why would they be empty ships crowding Singapore and other ports? Are there no goods to be transported, has the world stopped producing

"... coal, iron ore, and grains, and other dry goods."

why in the same article states that

"... It is telling us that world trade in raw materials has slowed dramatically."

is it not the case that

" .... banks shut off credit lines to the industry .."

that created the woes in the shipping industry. Certainly, you would expect a reduction in the amount of raw materials produced worldwide, but not to the extent that they would entirely account in the announced downturn in the shipping industry.

And besides that, raw materials will get cheaper as they would cost less for the individuals the world over. What is the primary and foremost concern of the article's author, for such an unsolicited act? Interested only to safeguard the unscrupulous demands of shipowners, speculators, or any other parasites that suck up unreasonable profits, just because they happen to have the control of the means for rendering the services the world expects from them.

So much gives the essence in the whole shambles. For the astute, he says, it spells opportunity, while the others whine and regret. The astute, the wise guys, who would not be affected at all. And who are the ones that, not so much about whine, but certainly will regret it, all the other individuals, that through no fault of their own, they would allow these smart-alec individuals to make a kill and make more bucks.

I have amassed a lot of information today about labels in the American political arena. The writer of this article is WineRev and posted the entry as a comment in 'Crush their spirits' post kos in the Daily Kos website.

What I am interested about is what ideas these labels serve. How people, being called as such or pursuing their interests under theses banners, are thinking about themselves. What do they profess as they are doing?

I read in the BBC website about the poor UK growth would be hit. What kind of growth is that, that individuals should be concerned about?

Economies would never ever change, if they continue to operate within the current monetary framework. Being all engrossed in an insane pursuit of a growth based on imaginary, man-made, artificial 'products', that they could be anything else but products.

Economies invented constructs, hanging over precariously; looming; barely supported on thin pillars; like snakes eating their own tails, with nothing solid underneath to sustain their existence, as they are drawn out of the short-sighted, ignorant insistence, to satisfy the needs of steadfastly prescribed monetary rules.

In states administrations, growth indicators become an obsession. Rigidly adhered administrations would account as growth anything that comes into their clutches, no matter where it is coming from. They would have easily accounted as growth even illicit activities, being these loots of bank robbers, drug profits, black market if it was in their hands and if they did not fear the public outcry.

Still they welcome in their folds anything, that ingenious entrepreneurs out of dragons dens out there, all eager to make a penny, make money for the money, so gave away the once free phone directory enquiry service to a horde of disparate providers, council-run car parking to aggressive greedy operators, with telecom companies charging the tenths of the seconds and lots of other initiatives, a mundane task to go through.

And this is the growth they are after? Growth based on thin air? Growth that draws its profits directly out of the pockets, of individuals in a society, being no different than an additional tax, that individuals could without it. No wonder economies fail. That there is a credit crunch, as individuals are squeezed even further, by what governments regard and relentlessly pursue, as growth.

That is what a McCain supporter stated, in Waukesha, Wis., GOP rally on Thursday October 9, as I read in YAHOO News website post titled 'McCain booed after trying to calm anti-Obama crowd'.

So socialists led by Barack Obama will take over USA? But that is not what strikes me and why I have singled out that particular phrase from that article. What I want to find out is ....

... What is he mad about? Socialists? And provided that Barack Obama and his followers are actually socialists, and if they are, then what kind of socialists. What then these socialists would do? Take over the country? And what would they do to the country? Or, is it not, more precisely, what would they do to him, or, what he perceives they will do to him.

In his mind, this thought is overriding, powerful to the point that he completely ignores the state his country is already in, a result unopposedly attributed to GOP administration, the country in the grip of a capitalist takeover. Yet, this is still not a matter to consider about, as easily or not, someone, or he himself could argue at length and probably successfully for the merits of capitalist supremacy, without making any difference to the route USA politics and subsequent administration takes.

What it matters, is why he is overwhelmed with anger as many other GOP supporters and why it seems, that the republicans as a party are not able to control. To my mind this attitude comes down to ignorance, a state of mind where none or very little of the properties of certain arrangements (the socialist in this case) are known, where the mind gets loose, imagination grows wild, rampant and confused.

Save the banks? What for? What is to save there that is worthwhile for the majority of the individuals in USA, and possibly the world over? Or to save the banks so they can continue unhindered to amass insane profits?

Mr. Bush said, that the bank rescue package is

"For the financial security of every American"

but very few give him credit, as credit nowadays is in short supply, that what Mr. Bush says, is what he means. What it actually is going to happen.

All this vast sum of money pledged, to save the banks will be used to furnish the enormous appetites of a limited bunch of executives to a great part, and very little, if any at all, will be channeled to maintain what is worth for, for the people as such. Or what is actually is going to be channeled down, is misery and hardship, which unlike credit the US administration has ample quantities in reserve.

As quite a lot of these monies will be used to feed scavenging companies, which like vultures encircle the carcass ready for the kill to pick up rich spoils, as this report suggests.

All the executives responsible for the fall would have already built up substantial nest eggs, unscathed and untouched by the whole shambles, even used to short-sell their own stock, (what kind of entrepreneurs are they after all, not to foresee and take advantage of an opportunity), and the only people to suffer, are the people hapless recipients of the so-called services to the public banks render. The only ones really affected and hit hard, their stories untold, since their cases are not mass media material, their credit crunch-busting parties would not sell.

And what else could you expect from a state run by the same bunch of individuals that have similar ulterior objectives, and nothing in common and it is not even in their mind, the welfare of the individuals that their services is/was supposed to provide for.

Both of these groups of people common objective is to sustain growth, an insane insistence on fallacious indicators applied in a fragmented manner for each of the companies, based strictly on the wares the company offers for, and the profits they make, isolated from the economy at large. As if the aggregate of all these individual growth figures, a strictly monetary approach, has any grounds, and it does reflect growth that matters, for the individuals in a society at large.

A growth that is not based upon the real needs of individuals in a society, but the needs of voracious companies to furnish all the short-sighted fragmented economic indicators and figures, overindulge and bathe in their sunshine (from UV-lamps more likely, artificial).

As each company and the people responsible for their running lack the ability to see beyond their company's needs, have a fragmented, distorted view of the economy, highly biased by their own limited perspective, ignoring all else.

All the monies certainly would end up in coffers of already established entrepreneurs-individuals, a result of the structure of the system and the mentality of the individuals involved. And states, overrun by a horde of people whose their needs are highly exaggerated, unreal and superficial, detached by the needs of the human individual.

By all means ample help should be given to maintain the service banks provide, to maintain the infrastructure necessary but never with that bunch of people in charge and not with the same mentality. With a different focus.

A focus not based upon the fallacy that the leaders and not the development of individuals, empowered to take on, in their hands, humanity's affairs, all in control of their lives. Agent-based societies to provide the amenable conditions. Conditions that exist in, and are part of, of each and every individual

Societies that evolve by the dynamic of change developed within each individual, where the presence or not of a leader is purely coincidental.

Societies will take their path, follow their trajectory, regardless temporary setbacks emanating out of external manipulations by unscrupulous individuals, powered by ulterior motives.

Societies where each and every individual within their bosom and amidst their ranks, matters for. What societies should be for.

What is the value of the expression 'legal and binding?'

Legal to what avail, binding for what purpose? The only legal 'legal' aspect there is, is what promotes and fosters unity and trust among the individuals in a society. In what sense legislation, like what Ross and Liddell abides to, where its main goal is to protect the businesses at the expense of the individuals that seek their services, promotes and fosters unity in a society? Business-centered government instead of people-centered?

By looking in any old history books, in search for the origins of the modern states, the only or main reason that governments were brought into existence, was to guarantee the contracts, for merchants, banks, landowners and any other such individuals. And still is.

If not all the legislation at least a great part, if not all modern states at least a great many, its or their sole or primary objective is about protecting the integrity of the contract, its their cornerstone of their existence.

Guaranteeing contracts, meaning securing the profits for business, at the expense of the services provided to individuals. Services as a public good for individuals to enjoy. The contract elevated to a point where it is disjointed from the service is supposed to provide. Becoming the goal and not the means in the service provision, to the point that legislation prescribes that it needs to go on, despite and against whether the service is required any longer. Individuals forced to adhere to contracts by the 'legal and binding legislation' even if they have no use of the service the contract is for, to fork out money for a service they cease to be interested in.

Strict adherence to contracts enable businesses to extort monies from individuals without providing any service. Monies milked out of individuals with nothing in return. No more no less, business and those involved in them, are nothing but parasites. Any growth in the business or the economy at large is parasitic growth. A kind of growth detrimental to the health of a society, and is anything but 'binding'.

Contracts should be based on mutual trust between the parties engaged and in service of the service provided, otherwise it will continue to breed parasites and harm the social fibre of the society.

Talk about democracy, governments of states elected by the people for the people. Anything but. Politicians should change their scope of governing. Aim towards providing a people-centred government. If Mr Brown, and other politicians wonder about the persistent indifference of individuals in politics should seek their answers there.

Businesses can still survive amidst a climate where the service they provide is a priority, instead of the profits they will amass in their coffers. A penny more, in anyone's pocket, worths nothing if it is not given freely by a satisfied customer.

If businesses do not adapt, they simply should not exist.

The editorial administratum of Forbes.com is wrong. The "Black Swans", the exceptional unpredictable events, that carry a huge impact will not yield to exploitation for the winners, it will end exploitation, in whatever way it could be imagined. An end to useless, precious time squandering, mind-numbing brain wastage, heart-rending anguish in the trivial pursuit of exploiting for financial gains. Instead it will be an enlightening journey to personal and collective fulfillment that only knowledge brings.

Nassim Nicholas Taleb's ideas are intriguing, and so after my own thoughts, is uncanny. Even the name given to his personal website is far-reaching, as he correctly contemplates individuals fooled by randomness. Even my current encounter, an unplanned haphazard www link journey, with the thoughts of Nassim Taleb, no matter how random it appears to be, will not succumb me into accepting it as random.

As a few hours ago, contemplating on the claims put forward by Carlos Gershenson, in his attempts to establish the connections between behaviour and the evolution of cognition specifically mentioned:

It brought into my mind notions about local and global environment. Local environment, its limits defined by the extent of our sensoria, seemingly open, a matter of convention, but in reality closed irrespective of where the boundaries lie. Conventions based on the chosen variables and parametres imply the nature and degree of its openness. And via the variables and parametres the individual chooses to monitor, bounds local environment unpredictability and its apparent determinism or non-determinism.

Advancing knowledge gears changes, of kind, of range, of the variables and parametres monitored by human individuals, in personal and collective level, expand the boundaries of local environments, decrease unpredictability. Introduced changes gradually assume control over attitudes and behaviours and guide acts either in individual or collective capacity. Local environment expanded, widens the arena, an increase in phase space which deterministic chaos explores.

I read in renoir's comments, in the Huffington Post website, a comment posted in Alec Baldwin's, 'Who can beat Mccain?' post.

Consider not voting to ban torture.... MY GOD! How is this man NOT a tool? Consider his vote that prioritizes immunity for the telecom industry over the Constitution. Consider his lack of knowledge of Shiite vs. Sunni vs. extremists vs. Al Queda and still standing by his insistence that he's the most qualified candidate based on his knowledge of international issues. Have in the presidency somebody pliable, responding to commands, a macho exterior but a limited interior and its performance carefully orchestrated by director's type committees, requiring just an actor to play the part? And what makes the difference is the hypocritical (that is acting) qualities of the incumbent? See Reagan for example and the currently incubated Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger?

The icon of 'Saint Barack' intrigued me, and following up to its source, the American conservative website, and to the article 'Can Barack Obama, who campaigns as an icon of peace, actually be more bellicose than Bush? Yes, he can.', authored by Brendan O’Neill, it gives me the opportunity to bifurcate to new attractors.

I must admit that the author's writing style in this particular article contradicts his writing style in the spiked online publication, for which he is the editor. Which brings me the idea that this was a tailor-made article for the tastes of 'The American Conservative' magazine publishers. However, apart from some emotive overtones sprinkled throughout the article, it does not entirely diminish its value. The claims made are substantiated by valid references, as far as I can tell, and the point made, can not be ignored.

As for the the term conservative, or any term for that matter, I have to say that I hate labels, it is more appropriate, the use of perspective, standpoint, point-of-view. Instead of using hard, rigid descriptions which leave no room for freedom of thought, not to mention that bring along an enormous set of rules which is unwieldy, prone to flaws according to a wider interpretation of Godel's incompleteness theorem, simply godelitis, shutting off its premises, the thoughts and ideas professed, to other individuals which the mere announcement of a label, any label, cringes their innards.

As for the article, I can not deny that the case brought forward by the author is valid. You can say that an overzealous leader is worse than a leader administrator or any kind of leader for that matter. I see that as a serious shortcoming of state structure, its utter reliance upon the will of single individuals. The leader is there to interpret the will of the people and not to assume divine powers, god-send enlightenment, know-all attitudes, infallibility syndromes, messiahs or any other similar flavour descriptions. The elected official suggest and await for approval or undertake action along the lines he/she was elected for, and only acts on behalf of the people, regardless whether they voted for or against.

In the article, among other items, the following paragraphs drew my attention

"There’s a palpable whiff of semi-religious hysteria at Obama rallies."

"They fantasize that he is pure and righteous, a miracle-worker who, in a pique of rage, will overturn the conventions of neocon-ruled America."

"Having never been stirred by the sight of Obama giving an MLK-style speech on the need for change, I can only take the candidates at their words. And Obama’s words are ominous indeed."

"President Obama would be a warmonger. He would be a wide-eyed, zealous interventionist who would not think twice about using America’s “military muscle” (his words) to overthrow “rogue states” and to suppress America’s enemies, real and imagined."

"Yes, Obama described the planned invasion of Iraq as “dumb” and “rash,” but his overriding concern—expressed repetitively throughout the speech—was that the Bush administration was damaging the legitimate case for American-made wars of intervention and potentially making it harder for future administrations (Democratic, for example) to send soldiers around the world to depose unfriendly regimes."

Certainly, as a good president, as any other president possible from the existing candidates, or any other american politician for that matter, has to satisfy his employers or employees or even secure employment for the American nation, that is, the war industry as 54% of the American budget is dedicated to war, and need to capitalise on new opportunities.

The crunch to all these comes from these paragraphs

Barack Obama directly responds to the will of the American individuals, which more than anything, it worths a lot more than the election of any individual for U.S. President. Certainly, any candidate is bound to flow along the direction of the wind and not against it. In the monstrosity that it is the american politics, an arena for combat of all sorts of diverse interests under the constant scrutiny of powerful media, nobody would expect anything better.

This change in the American people, is which Barack Obama currently expresses.

The only clean alternative is to abandon everything, and let America be leaderless. Thing impossible.

It drew my attention, the statement, of a probably well known figure in the financial circles, which my meager knowledge of the subject, failed me, that the free market will work out a solution as it was announced in that BBC News article that Markets rattled by bank worries

"Markets worldwide recorded heavy losses in reaction to the emergency bailout of US investment bank Bear Stearns over the weekend."

and its imminent recession in U.S. economy and its subsequent adverse impact in the world economy at large.

The plea(?) to the forces prevalent in the free market were suggestive, or at least that is how it was impressed on me, of chaotic dynamics. Motions, in that case financial economic, unleashed in the phase space comprised by all existing economic states in U.S. and in world economies involved, as well as all sectors of economic activity and the lives of countless individuals, directly or indirectly involved.

An enormous phase space where chaotic motions frantically seek the stability of desperately sought attractors. The question is? Are all the potentialities in phase space open to explore or not? Or, is it the case that only a very small part of the phase space is actually utilised? Available to be explored.

And goes on. Is it actually a free market, or a market that is tightly confined by prohibitive parametres. If it is totally free, phase space exploration will eventually lead to a safe haven that is so eagerly in searched of. But if they are not, if the current parametres, the tariffs, economic rules and regulations, protectionism interventionism or any other imposed measure, effectively curbs the economic activity flow, chaotic motions will suffocate as there is not, adequate and sufficient phase space to unfold into. In the ever parameter-diminished constricted phase space.

U. S. politics bifurcating to new attractors? Expressed in Barack Obama?

I am impatient and common sense(?) would tell, imprudent. But I can not resist. I want to use my new found knowledge to find answers. Regard it as an experiment, a sort of case study. To put all the data out and applying the framework and let the thoughts unleashed, without fear and prejudice. Well just a little prejudice, the least. But not to the point that will compromise the thoughts.

As I was thinking lately about attractors, the set of states that a system falls as chaos is testing all configurations possible. Chaos unleashed as is physically observed by the frantic involvement of all the people engaged in the presidential elections. That drives the efforts of countless individuals in their attempts to preempt the chances of one or the other candidate.

But what would be these attractors in this particular case? Corresponding to what is mentioned here

An existing attractor, like a recognised odour or bifurcating into a new attractor in response to new learned stimuli. What can the existing attractors be? Or what a new attractor be? Mr McCain rely upon the existing attractors whereas Mr Obama represent that part of the american state that wants to bifurcate to new attractors, to a new set of states, be that social, political or other.

As what would the content of the attractors be, a fair amount is deduced by reading through the article 'For Obama, a Taste of What a Long Battle Would Hold' in New York Times.

By 'mocking' instead of 'criticising' brings about an air of superiority and condescension, the superiority myth of the white race. By referring to the middle name of 'Hussein' makes artificial connections by the name's Arab origin and assumes that, the name determines the foreign policy. Soon it would follow the transliteration of Mr Obama's name to Ossama and again will instigate connections with Al Qaeda. And even the very name of Mr Obama for its lack of the Anglo-Saxon origin, will be used against.

The thoughts brought out in this post

Multinational corporations are gearing up the way to a certified 'global village' reality. The world, in all its aspects, does follow up a path towards global integration. It is inevitable as the transactions between individuals or groups of individuals, in disparate locations around the globe, grow exponentially as time goes by. Multinational corporations have the organisation to achieve that.

Lots of thoughts which are needed to be channeled appropriately. Questions in seek for answers.

Their expansion a result of a multitude of all the wrong reasons, paramount being the maximisation of profits, but at the same time, they only have the know-how and possess the necessary organisational structures to bring the world closer together.

Someone can argue that the profits drive tends to leave places in their path bone dry, lunar landscapes. Using up remorselessly all resources a place can offer. Human and natural resources alike.

But on the other hand they push the world nearer to its attractors. Amidst conflicting forces they spread the means for development and bring the world communities together.

Whereas I find this necessary, a major concern is the extent of the damage to environment and to human lives. Would they manage to bring the world in an unrepairable state beyond recovery? If they are left on their own they would certainly do.

Their course unstoppable. Supported to the hilt by the multitude of legislation and the more effective underlying web of power in governments and states, what spawned them in the first place, spring out of their home countries, to spread all over the world. Assisted by the dominant, in most individuals, ego-centred facet of the human persona, to look after dear self blind of others, driving its insatiable hunger for profiting at all costs.

Makes me feel like throwing up, it boaks me. Profits? A feeling of revulsion. As in the Atlas shrugged at 50, proclaim

that is true and is everywhere, in all societies and it applies for the capitalists and for the "postmodernists", and in short for any individual.

I am getting confused or the message is a product of a confused mind. If the American culture is not purely or largely individualistic, why would be in need for individualism or is it the 'principled' what is in question here? I can not think any other society on earth to be more individualistic than the American society.

Individuality? It makes me think that the only individuality you talk and care about is your very own individuality, your cherished ego. Individuality thrives when it considers the individuality of all individuals, and in a society like yours the individuality that is nurtured is the individuality of a handful, hand-picked individuals ignoring all other.

And a misguided individual which at some point in her life guided by her own simplified mind, produced the work you so proclaim that proves your style, a few self-cherished concepts by the likes of you, out of the richness of concepts about. And by virtue of these few partial concepts built a worldview totally defined by her choices.

Any individuality will grow only when all individualities are let free to grow, in the farthest out freedom-to-grow version, as it can be imagined.

It is vile to mingle genuine human traits with false, empty messages. To admit that there were and are

But this is something we should always bear in mind when we take a stance, look around and address the world.

Everyone in the world that has been born and died or is born and still alive or even (may be, it depends) has not been born yet and not lived, is, or is going to be an individual with a simplified mind.

Me, you, everybody should drive that deep into mind before even think to actually do pass judgment against another person or persons.

Everybody has the potential to thrive if a chance is there to have.

Yes there is, as the values adhered by the American people define the simple rules followed by individuals in the American society, and by that, its complexity and the emergent states which will come out of the process of the presidential primaries. Emergent state being the next administration that would follow up Bush.

As the American culture values the individual, it is obvious that their vote is judged on issues that emphasize the independence of the objects from their context(s). The objects being, the candidates and the context(s) being, the current local and global political situation. The candidates will be picked according to their individual merits, regardless of the policies they profess, their approach to the context.

The New York Times report after the decisive Super Tuesday primaries that

Glimpses galore of the state of the world, US presidential primaries would bring about

Presidential elections, primaries in USA. What does it actually matter here? Would it make any difference what candidate wins?

It is not a simple matter of funding an election campaign in the US primaries, it is what the fundraisers would expect from the person they back that makes the difference. The ties that hold the candidates with their backers. And it is obvious that the big money would back the candidate that would follow a policy that favours their schemes. And usually these schemes do not include the welfare of individuals. It will be the schemes which will ensure that profits for industry do not suffer setbacks.

A recession, it was proclaimed yesterday, looming in the world, as it is deduced by the recent fall in the stock markets.

"Stock markets in London and Europe recorded their biggest one-day falls since Sept 11 yesterday, as concerns about global credit market turmoil and a looming US recession sparked panic selling amongst investors."

A global recession that is driven by a recession in USA. What does that actually mean? Would the recession deduced by the stock markets, involves or is it about the individual in the world? Would be a matter of concern for the individual? Or is the recession the result of the change of mind in the individual? The myth of terror in the world, that the US has to defend the world from, is crumpling. Nobody believes President Bush and the Americans. The global view of the US is going from bad to worse:

The bubble is bursting. If Bush and the rest of the Americans that their livelihood depend on the proliferation of wars and the creation of tensions in the world to bring forth new wars, if they can not convince the individual about the necessity of the wars they start, that would have an effect on their industry, the GDP and so forth, and if the industry doesn't do well, you bound to have recession. Would that be a bad thing? No, not at all.

Is that what actually happens? How can not be? What effect would a 51% of the total current US budget allocated for military purposes would have in an economy? What would happen if the common sentiment around the world is against wars? That economy is bound to go into recession, or nearly collapse? Is that a bad thing? Certainly it is not.

And what is the position of the candidates in the recent US presidential primaries? According to sources all republican candidates have proclaimed they are in favor of troop increase and against a timetable for troop withdrawal in Iraq, apart from Ron Paul, the representative from Texas. As for the democrat candidates they are all opposed to troop increases and in favour of troops withdrawal ranging from immediate to within 16 months, apart from Hilary Clinton who sees troops withdrawal to conclude by the end of 2013.

Over the years it has become a lasting impression of the US as a war nation and that notion is hitting home. And the repercussions are felt and reflected on the American individuals and in the positions put forward by their candidates. True, the republicans did not concede. They continue on supporting war efforts. They are the ones that have direct links with the war involved interests. Their backers and funding partners are representing the war industry. But, as there is the widespread belief that the republicans do not have a chance to win in the presidential elections, that they are fighting a loosing battle, what it matters comes from the positions of the democrat candidates.

They are responding to the change in the minds of the american individuals, all apart, as it is obvious by the prolonged withdrawal procedures put forward, from Hilary Clinton. It brings about notions that her backers are representing the war industry and the prolonged troop withdrawal is translated to a continuing war related business cycle and the hope that, in the meantime another war would be prepared to ensure the war industry would not go out of business.

Are all individuals in a society considered potential offenders?

What did I notice in that statement from this House of Commons Hansard Debate for 08 Oct 2007 (pt 0020)?

"I particularly welcome the announcement by my right hon. Friend the Lord High Chancellor on homophobic hatred. Provisions in a Bill previously brought into play in Northern Ireland will today send a strong message to society that homophobic hate crimes are not acceptable in a modern-day society."

Send a strong message to society that homophobic hate crimes are not acceptable in a modern-day society? To send a strong message to society? Does society need messages? Messages on how to act and behave? Doesn't society know that acts against other individuals do not befit a human individual? Does it need any message, from anyone, on how to act and behave?

And in that publication of RoSPA, the royal society for the prevention of accidents, I read:

"Many such cases have been highlighted in the media which has contributed to a public perception that it is possible to ‘get away’ with dangerous and lethal behaviour on the road."

Public perception? Public, for everyone of us, every individual in a society, ubiquitous and universal. Our common and shared perception, which we use to direct and unfold our lives, its sole criterion is 'how to get away'? All the values we hold and cherish are reduced to that primary objective, 'to get away'.

How low have they put public perception. In what little regard do they hold public perception. Where each individual is considered a potential offender, or may be even, forget about potential but plainly an offender, a perpetrator. That every individual's main concern is how to 'get away', that each one of us has in mind to pillage, kill, maim and commit acts against the welfare of other individuals as long as they can 'get away'.

I find that degrading for society, for any society and reveals the mentality of the law makers and governing bodies. They are engrossed in a mind frame, a mindset so overriding they can not get away from.

The laws and rules are there because the collective mind of the individuals in the society have brought them forth and not because of some sublime enlightened mind thought them. Parliamentarians and other individuals in government bodies, are servants to the society that put them there. They were not voted or assigned to be masters and overseers of the society.

Neither in society nor in the public perception, 'to get away' is a guiding principle or in need to be taught a lesson. It is for the very few in society who stray from the rest that the laws are for. The values and respect for each other, of individuals in a society, are strong enough to need any laws to be uphold.

Your place is to follow the guidelines as given by society and not to make the guidelines for the society to follow, you are individuals in the society as everyone else and as any other individual in a society, the models you built to make sense out of the world are simplified models.

So, was Iraq's war another crusade?

Is religion about good and evil? Are the concepts of good and evil ubiquitous, universal in meaning. Something that everyone, from whatever cultural background is coming from, understands them in the same way? I read in the article of "Blair's faith fuelled his drive to join in the invasion of Iraq", from Guardian Unlimited,

"As Prime Minister, he saw the world in terms of good and evil. Kosovo, Sierra Leone, support for African development and a two-state solution in the Middle East and, above all, war in Iraq were informed by his belief. His rawest expression of motive for taking Britain into Iraq was spoken in Glasgow on the same day as the mass protest across Britain on 15 February 2003. His voice heavy with emotion, he declared: 'If there are 500,000 on that march, that is still less than the number of people whose deaths Saddam has been responsible for. If there are one million, that is still less than the number who died in the wars he started... ridding the world of Saddam would be an act of humanity. It is leaving him there that is in truth inhumane."

It is naive to consider that Blair's view of good and evil is shared by anybody else apart from himself and his followers, though I do not think that the war in Iraq was just another christian crusade, a fourth or fifth I am not sure, to apply the western culture version of good and evil. It was a pure exercise of another aspect of monetisation and the whole process needed some sort of cover. Whereas for Britain it might have been Blair's version of good and evil, as for Mr. Bush and his band of followers was the freedom fighting approach.

Unfortunately the whole exercise opened up another can of worms, as the fellow americans tend to say. But it makes no difference to them. As if they care, that british, americans, iraqis are killed and maimed daily. Collateral damage, since for both the objective has been achieved. They managed to use a lot of bombs and other disposable goodies in their arsenal before its sell-by-date run out, saving them from scrap merchants fees and costly disposal processes, gauged the efficiency of some of their smart weapons on some real targets, not some hapless platforms or much needed demolition jobs, created a stir in their war industries as new orders came in, to replace whatever was used, get ready for another war. You see their battle for good and evil, or the freedom fighters cause continues unabated and never stops.

There are baddies still out there. Iran, North Korea eminent candidates and who knows, the return of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan might create the freedom fighters too. To stir up the british and the americans noble pursuits.

Thank goodness up to know Iran and North Korea do not fall into the trap and defuse the tensions, the british and americans constantly create, in negotiations.

I hope Pakistan, likewise, will not give them a reason to invent freedom fighters and a chance to sharpen their swords. Let their brand new manufactured bombs, smart or stupid, and other high tech war equipment to rust past their sell-by-dates.

To put the war industry out of business and into the dole queues.
